NL EAST CHAMPS!

SHOUT OUT TO OUR PHILLIES!! AMAZING!
WOOHOO EVERYBODY HITS!

Side note: I wanted to eat everything there and there was a man eating a hot dog, a man eating pulled pork sandwich, and a man eating a cheesesteak all around me. I didn't though; I am awesome!

Ding Ding Ding! Round 1!!

What Kells!!??? You are joining the Crossfit Tribe with KTo!??? That is bananas!!

I don't know what got into me but I gotta get off my butt and get results. I will accept nothing less. I am going to own Crossfit. Well scratch that Crossfit will own me but I will suck it up and enjoy every ounce of sweat the rolls off of me. Hey fat you can roll off too, I have noooo problems with that.

I can blame and thank KTo. We decided to blog a fitness journey to track our progress and will test recipes for our new diet. Unfortunately, nachos are not on the menu. Holla Landmark and Colonial. The hardest battle for me will be to stay away from CHEESE! I will try my hardest but this blog will have all the triumphs as well as the little setbacks. That is life.

My short term goal is from today to do 3 months of: Crossfit 2x a week with one open gym + paleo zone diet + a day of Yoga = my new hell. From there I will up the anty.

KTo has been part of the Crossfit Tribe for about 2 months and today was my very first day. For being someone who use to be active in sports to someone who spent most of her 4 years in college drinking beers with KTo in the Brunz and the past two years behind a desk, I knew today would be KILLER!

WOD:

Strength: 5 Goblet Squats x 3 reps; 50lbs

You can def feel this in your legs and abs. Not very difficult but Steve was trying to scale where my strength level is at since it was my first day. I tried to squat 100lbs but my knees bent like half way and were like no way girlfriend. haha one day. :)

Everyone else did Power Cleans but since I am a newbie I was handed the goblet. :)

Metacon:

15 Burpees
25 Good Mornings
25 Mt. Climbers

Everyone else including KTo did 4 rounds under 15 mins and Steve scaled mine back to 3. This was a huge struggle; Mt. Climbers are not my friend. When I got to the 3rd round of Good Mornings I felt like I was going to see Jesus. I didn't complete it before 15 mins but after a short rest I completed my workout. Everyone in the class was motivating me to go on and I think that really is a key part to getting to your goal. You need motivation and when you feel like you want to give up you need someone behind you to keep you going. Next time I hope to get the 3 in under 15 mins. Its all trying to make yourself better.

When I got home, I wasn't sure which was harder, Good Mornings or walking up the stairs. haha

My next round is Friday. Woo!

Oh it's ON!

After putting up with my obnoxiously badass stories about throwing weight over my head and passing out after metcons, Kells has joined me on my Crossfit journey. Seeing that she is my partner in crime, beer drinking, cooking, and dancing, this should be interesting.

I started crossfittting at Crossfit Tribe about 2 months ago. It's an awesome addiction to have( Big thanks to E2 for introducing me). I've been rather active my whole life but coming out of college 2 years ago the dollar lagers & 50 cent slices had taken it's toll. I joined to be stronger, faster, live longer, and snowboard better. So far my progress has been awesome. Now I am ready to take it to the next level and go the Paleo route. Lucky for me Kells will be here with me trying out recipes, posting struggles and triumphs, and reviewing our weekly 2 beers. Yes, while we plan to revamp our lifestyle & diet, beer is something we will keep. It's a love for great brews.

Here we go.
